Farnsworth Stables
Farnsworth Stables is home to the Miller family’s horse racing and breeding operations. Located in Ocala Florida, otherwise known as the “Breeding Capital of the World,” Farnsworth Stables strives to breed prize-winning Thoroughbreds. With over 45 premier horses, Farnsworth Stables has established a significant beachhead in a lucrative and rapidly growing industry.
Florida is home to more than 500,000 horses, with more than 70,000 used for competition and recreation to rank the state No. 3 in the nation. Offering almost all breeds of horses, Florida's population is led by Thoroughbreds, Warmbloods, Quarter Horses and Arabians. The state's equine industry generates $2.2 billion in products annually, and has a total annual economic impact of an estimated $7 billion. More than 240,000 Florida residents are involved in the industry, either as owners, service providers or employees. Florida houses over 900 horse farms, employing over 72,000 individuals. More than $1.2 billion is spent in annual maintenance costs, including $185 million on feed and hay.
