Full house, royal flush and three of a kind

WEST PALM BEACH, FL - Palm Beach County School District is hosting their annual "Poker Night" Saturday, August 9, 2008 from 7:00 pm - 12:00 pm at 416 Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach. The tournament is to help support paid summer internships that are sponsored by the district.

The internship programs are opened to students currently enrolled in 9th - 12th grade and in some rare instances are open to freshman, sophomores and juniors in college. The summer internship programs are highly competitive and the selection process includes excellence in behavior records as well as strong references from teachers/professors.

Continuing their fund raising efforts, Saturday, August 10, the district will host their Annual Golf Classic. The proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society of Palm Beach County.
