Palm Beach Art for Life "RUSH" Party

On March 17, 2007 Rob and Linnette Miller opened up their home to host the annual fundraising gala for the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation and were named as Honorary Chairs. The Rush foundation, chaired and co-founded by Russell Simmons, has made it a mission to provide disadvantaged urban youth with significant exposure and access to the arts, as well as providing exhibition opportunities to under-represented artists and artists of color.

Founded in 1995, the Rush Foundation, has been dedicated to providing funding to various charities and programs that enrich the lives of underprivileged and disadvantaged youth in the New York City area. In addition to the major monetary contributions made annually, Rush also offers up its own Arts Gallery and several Mentorship programs to help develop and nurture existing and aspiring artists.

For three years Rush has held its annual gala in Palm Beach. This year's celebration bought out honorees Alonzo & Tracy Mourning, Ludacris and Rena Rowan Damone. The event included live and silent auctions of unique luxury items that raised over $400,000.00 of which twenty five percent were given to local Palm Beach programs that serve disadvantaged youth, including Bak Middle School of the Arts, New Hope Charities, and Street Beat.
